Programming

Programming, as defined by the Colorado Exceptional Children's Educational Act (ECEA), includes the components, strategies and options designed to meet the needs of gifted learners.
 
Programming for gifted learners should match their strengths and interests across content areas and grade levels, address affective development, and include a problem-solving process when students are not achieving commensurate with their ability. Each district in the San Juan BOCES provides a variety of programming options for gifted learners.  We are currently updating lists in preparation for our March 2024 Gifted Education Monitoring (GEM) visit. Revised programming options posted soon...
